Veldlokk - Feral Divinity

Veldlokk's latest album, Feral Divinity, is a bold and ambitious release that showcases the band's mastery of atmospheric black metal. From the opening track, "Wilderness of the Mind," it's clear that Veldlokk is not content to simply replicate the tropes of the genre. Instead, they push the boundaries of what black metal can be, incorporating elements of post-rock, ambient, and even neoclassical music into their sound.

The production on Feral Divinity is excellent, with every instrument and element of the mix given its own space to breathe. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with intricate riffs and soaring leads that complement the atmospheric keyboards and haunting vocals. Drummer Hrafn's performance is also noteworthy, providing a propulsive backbone to the songs while also incorporating subtle flourishes and fills that add depth and complexity to the arrangements.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Serpent's Tongue," which features a guest appearance from renowned black metal vocalist Attila Csihar. His haunting spoken-word performance adds an extra layer of darkness and intensity to an already powerful song.
